Purpose:
The purpose of the Barrie Infertility Support Group is to create a safe & caring environment for discussions related to coping with the stress of infertility. Within the context of a small group setting, discussions will take place with people who share similar experiences. Individuals will share their values & priorities, knowledge & insights, as well as dilemmas & frustrations. The focus is not on medical issues, treatment &/or technologies. Who can attend: All interested parties are welcome. Women & men can attend on their own or with a partner. |

Facilitator:
Facilitated by Jennifer McDermott a Registered Social Worker who works with individuals & couples experiencing challenges related to infertility. Jennifer has a special interest in supporting individuals & families to cope with infertility as she has personally experienced this challenge & understands the emotional impact. A good portion of Jennifer’s practice is dedicated to assisting this client base & facilitating infertility support groups. Jennifer was fortunate to give birth to twin girls after experiencing a high risk pregnancy. She now enjoys spending any spare time being active with her beautiful family.

Monthly meetings take place on the first Wednesday of each month.

Parking:
A city operated public parking lot is conveniently located diagonally across from the Avalon Wellness Centre.
Cost & Registration:
Donations are welcomed to help cover the cost of renting the room & providing refreshments.
